Our Mission
GRRRLS with HEART strives to provide an intentional, tight knit community of girls and women for teenage girls (ages 12-18) to explore life through prompts based in interdisciplinary collaborative arts, giving them a sense of self, value, and empowerment while creating and sharing their work. Our hope is that grrrls will go on to impact the world around them using art and creative self expression, strong communication skills from NVC, self-affirmation, and the ability to approach all communities with mindfulness and our core HEART values: harmony, ease, authenticity, respect, and trust.
About the programGRRRLS with HEART was founded by Rhonda Eldridge to give teenage girls the tools to find their authentic voice and empower themselves through artistic exploration. Throughout the year we participate in monthly calls and artistic prompts, and spend two weeks in Northern, VA, working in various mediums to create a piece of theater that is then shown in the Capital Fringe Festival.
