About the ShowPortraits of GRRRLS is a theatrical presentation rooted in autobiographical storytelling, told through different artistic mediums. It is a public performance of theatrical work, writing, song, and dance entirely created by the GRRRLS and serves as the final project of GRRRLS with HEART. After a week of creating and writing through prompt - based explorations, the grrrls and facilitators sort through all created content to piece together a cohesive theater piece of self expression and empowerment. Produced as part of the Capital Fringe Festival with four performances at at the end of GRRRLS with HEART, Portraits of GRRRLS is a chance for GRRRLS with HEART participants to take the stage and gain confidence in their voice at a whole new level. |
